Hello! I'm avid music lover and I would just like to share my top OPM picks with you guys! Lately, I've been listening to the same artists over and over again because their albums are too good just to pass up. I'm a very melancholic person that's why my songs are more ballads and sad love songs.

10. Di Naging (Tayo) by Sleep Alley

I have been listening to this since early this year but I can relate to the lyrics that’s why even after a few months have passed, I’m still listening to this song. The tone of the voice, the rhythm, the way the beats just drops from the drums; they are all in harmony in conveying their emotions that you can just feel the hurt, insecurity, and acceptance for not being chosen/ liked back by the person he/she wants.

9. Tahimik by Yeng Constantino I have always been a fan of Yeng Constantino with her relatable and very millennial attack with her lyrics and music themes and this song is far from a disappointment. I listened to this song once and I was immediately transported back when I had a crush on my friend and I had to practically murder my feelings for him because he doesn’t feel the same way and he just sees me as a friend. This song have similarities with “Di Naging Tayo” by Sleep Alley since both songs are about unrequited love; one of their differences is that this song is less aggressive.

8. 16B by James Reid This one is a more chill song witten and produced by James Reid. This song sings about their lifestyle and the partying and being with friends and women in his apartment. This showcases the attitude of James Reid where he does not care of what people think of him and he's just doing what he wants and living his life the way he wants. I love the beat and rhythm of this song, It makes me want to start sexy dancing in the middle of my room you know? And unlike my other picks, this makes me feel relaxed and carefree.

7. Tahan Na by Jason Marvin I actually heard this song last July but it didn't really caught my attention that I didn't listen to this song for about 2 months but when I gave it another chance, I found myself having a Last Song Syndrome with this song. This song is so relaxing and sweet and makes me want cuddle with someone. His voice is so smooth and low, and the slow music mixed with him singing is just mesmerizing.

6. Okay Na 'ko Pag Nawala Ka by Yeng Constantino

Relationships can go stale and some couples drift apart from each other. This song is telling the perspective of the person who's left in the mess of their relationship and that he/she is trying her best to move on and trying her best to accept that it is time to end their relationship.

5. On Top by James Reid feat. Sam Concepcion and Bret Jackson A song about sex. Its very chill and catchy and like 16B it makes you want to sexy dance in the middle of room.

4. Hindi Na Nga by This Band For me, this song is like the other side of the story in Yeng Constantino's song "Okay Na 'Ko Pag Nawala Ka" because this tells the story of the person who have fallen out of love for his/her lover. I've read something on the internet where the writer is talking about how people are too focused on the pain of the person who was rejected or got left behind but no one's talking about how painful it is for the other person to do that to someone who have been a huge part of their lives; It is not an easy task but you have to do it because what's the point of continuing the relationship if you don't feel the same anymore and you're at the point where you can't keep choosing that person and it's all too late to go back to the way things were.

3. Right There by James Reid

I have never been a fan of James Reid but when I listened to his recent songs, I AM HOOKED. This song is so sweet and romantic in a way, with Reid's usual genre and joined with his lyrics that's very liberated and his relationship with Nadine Lustre. If this song was for me, I feel like I'm being worshiped by my man.

2. Nakakamiss by Eevee I accidentally heard this song when I left my youtube account on autoplay and at first, I was skeptical about it because it might be a jeje song but I replayed the song and it gave me ‘beer’ by itchyworms vibes and that for me is a classic besides “Ang huling el bimbo’ and I also checked out their other songs but this one is my favorite.

For me, this song is about a person trying to run from his feelings and that by the time his brain finally caught up with his heart, it was already too late and so, that person is having regrets for not realizing it sooner and probably regretting for not doing anything about it.

1. Kahit Ayaw Mo Na by This Band

Okay, I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG LIKE, LITERALLY! I LISTEN TO THIS SONG EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. SINCE. AUGUST. Anyway, This song is about not giving up on the person that you love and that no matter what happens, you’d still choose that person over and over again. To be honest, I’m affected with one line in the song which is, “Daling sabihin na ayaw mo na pero pinag-isipan mo ba?” because unfortunately, I’m that person.

This song is perfect for those couples who are having lover’s quarrels, cool-off, or a recent break-up. Definitely 10/10 recommending this song.

I hope that whoever is reading this could enjoy my music selection.
