The cosmetic industry has been making a lot of noise all over the world from dramas, teas, reviews, launches, etc. that almost every celebrity now has their own make-up line but I will tackle more on that on another blog post. Mid-2019, a local clothing brand in the Philippines have launched their very own line of lipsticks called Beauty Pop with two formulas: Litematte and Hydramatte.
Their lipsticks claimed to be long-wearing, lightweight (for Litematte), hydrating on the lips (for Hydramatte), and has really bold colors. For its price of PHP 219, their packaging, branding, and claims are really idealistic so I decided to try it out and bought two shades of Litematte: 1. Prim and Proper and 2. Slay since I have been in search of nude and brownish lipsticks that is local.
Okay, so some of you might say that I could have just bought the new line of sunnies face nude lipsticks but that is also for another post.
Packaging:
The packaging gave me the vibe that its clean and trustworthy with its pastel, ombre peachy color and I appreciate that the specific expiration date is printed on the box because compare to the other lipsticks that I bought locally, they usually just put the generic thingy on the box that is barely noticeable and easily forgotten and I am bad at keeping track of when I acquired the product.
As for the actual lipstick tube, Its pretty generic and has the same pastel, ombre peachy color that the box has.
The actual lipstick (external):

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first because I just watched the reviews after ordering it and I've watched that its kinda "Jaclyn Hill" that it has a bit of contamination but when I opened mine, the lipsticks are clean and has no signs of contamination. As for the smell, the lipsticks smell a bit like crayons which is very similar to colourpop lippies.
Lipstick Application:
Penshoppe claimed that their formula has bold colors there is no doubt about that but the pigment of the lipstick when applied needs to be built up before you can see your desired/advertised color. It took me 3-4 swipes each before my lips is fully covered with color.

Comparing the two, the Prim and proper shade is my favorite because the slay shade looks a bit dirty when applied; it is a bit flaky and you need a good exfoliation of lips to see good results.
After applying it on my lips, my lips feel a bit tingly and that is what is bothering me to be honest especially with slay but my lips aren't red or plumped though... it's just tingly and the tingles differ, sometimes its the lower lip and sometimes the upper lip so, I am not sure what exactly is causing this.
Ajs for the lightweight claims, I feel like sunnies face lip dips are lighter and the lipstick feel a bit dry and sticky on my lips.
Long wearing:
One word - NO.
It is not long wearing and as a person who always rub their lips together, it stays for about an hour, the outer areas stay but its definitely not a good look and even after eating, you do need to re-apply it.

Conclusion:
For its price, I think you can buy better lip products but I'd still give it a 2/5 stars since it does the job but they definitely need to improve the formula of the product.
